jhr recognizes the value of cross-cultural education experiences for North American university students as fostering a global and cultural awareness within students, which ultimately develops more active and engage youth. As such, jhr, in partnership with the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), is sending three highly-qualified youths to Ghana this summer where they will work at community radio stations to produce news stories and assist with programming, editing, and advertising in cooperation with African students.

During their three-month long stay in Ghana, our interns will produce a vast array of media related to the Millenium Development Goals, CIDA’s work in Ghana, and Canadian development efforts. From blog posts to documentaries, from articles to photographs, our interns will use the broad spectrum of media available to us today to report on their experiences in Ghana.

Departing on June 11th, our media interns will embark on an unforgettable adventure. Follow their discoveries, musings, and overall experience on our Field Notes blog!
